About the Public Relations Department

The Public Relations Department of the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports is an independent structural unit and was initially established as an Information Service in accordance with the RESOLUTION of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 27, 2019 “On additional measures to ensure the independence of the mass media and develop the activities of information services of state bodies and organizations”. In September 2024, by the relevant resolution of the University Supervisory Board, it has been operating as a Public Relations Department.

Today, the department has 4 staff positions, including the positions of head of department, chief specialist, leading specialist and content manager. The department is currently headed by Ibrohim Sarimsakov.

From the time of its establishment to the present day, the Public Relations Department has been providing the public with complete and timely information about the university's activities, forming a positive image of the university and studying public opinion about the university, monitoring and analyzing the information space, promptly responding to critical and widely discussed information attacks, regularly organizing speeches by the university's leadership in the media; forming and updating a database of text, photo, audio and video materials related to the university's activities, as well as maintaining the university's website at a modern level, informing the general public about legislative acts adopted in the legal sphere and important programs of social importance, preparing photo, audio and video materials about the university's activities and cooperating with state and non-state media in the process of their preparation, and ensuring the formation and maintenance of a photo, audio and video database related to the university's field of activity, as well as performing other tasks and functions within its competence.
