DEPARTMENT OF THEORY AND METHODOLOGY OF TAEKWONDO

HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

"Theory and methods of boxing, fencing and taekwondo" was renamed in 2008 due to the addition of the specialty "Taekwondo WTF" to the department "Theory and methods of boxing, fencing."  In connection with the inclusion of another sport in our university "Karate WKT" in the 2020 Summer Olympics, it was included in the department of "Theory and Methods of International Wrestling".

By the decision of the Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan dated December 26, 2020 No 5/7/1 from February 1, 2021 Taekwondo specialty was separated from the department of " Theory and Methods of Boxing, Taekwondo, Fencing" and merged with Karate specialty and Taekwondo WTF , karate WKF theory and methodology”. From September 4, 2023, the Department of Taekwondo, Fencing Theory and Methodology was established by Order No 653.
