DEPARTMENT OF THEORY AND METHODOLOGY OF NATIONAL WRESTLING

HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

Wrestling is a sport that has been shaped for centuries on the basis of the culture and traditions of the Uzbek people. That is why its creator, as an integral part of our national and cultural heritage, has become a national value of the world, which has gained wide popularity in all countries and promotes patriotism, honesty, valor, courage. One of the Uzbek national sports is wrestling and belt wrestling, as each nation and Elat have had its own national sports that have emerged and formed over the centuries . The Department of "National Sports, theory and methodology of games" was established at the Uzbek State University of physical education and sports in 2018.  In the 2018-2019 academic year, the department was headed by Associate Professor Mirzanov Sherzod Sirliboevich. The Department of 2019-2022 was headed by Associate Professor Mirzakulov Shavkat Akhmatdjonovich. The Department of 2022-2024 was headed by Associate Professor Artikov Zohid Sobirovich, Since January 2024, Chorshamiyev Nuriddin Abdulimovich has been heading the Department. The decision of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan on measures to develop the National Sport Of Wrestling PQ-4881 of November 4, 2020 and further increase its international prestige in order to implement the tasks set out in other regulatory legal acts in the country, the Department of "National Sports, theory and methodology of games" was renamed from 2021.

Department of theory and methodology of National Wrestling types 61010300 – sports activities “in the field of activities” Bachelor “day” in the field of Education wrestling and Belt Wrestling specialties 247 grants and 180 students in the contract and 701 students in the field of undergraduate “correspondence” education are being provided.

Currently, 21 professors and teachers are working in the Department of theory and methodology of national types of struggle and lectures, seminars and practical classes are held in the following disciplines:
