Department of theory and methodology of handball, rugby, field hockey

      The handball specialty was first established in the State Institute of Physical Education of Uzbekistan in 1960 and was included in the "Sports Games" department. The department was headed by Keshishev Grigory Leonovich. Later, in 1966, the "Football and handball" department was established and the department was headed by Sergeev Gennady Mikhailovich. In 2011, the "Theory and Methodology of Handball and Tennis" department was established. As the head of the department, the department is headed by Ph.D. It was managed by O. Abdalimov. In 2014, a badminton specialty was opened in this department. In 2018, the department "Theory and Methodology of Handball, Tennis, Badminton" was established. In 2020, the "Handball, rugby theory and methodology" department was established and the department was headed by  professor Sh. F. Tulaganov. From September 5, 2023, field hockey specialty was added to the department and changed to "Theory and methodology of handball, rugby, field hockey" and the department was headed by associate professor H.Q. Fazilov has been managing as the head of the department. The activity of the department is aimed at training specialists with deep theoretical knowledge, practical skills and qualifications, general culture and high moral qualities.

Dotsent R.I.Isroilov.   Our graduates are active in their chosen field and currently contribute to the further development of handball, rugby, and field hockey sports in Uzbekistan. The most gratifying thing is that in 2020 and 2022, the students of our department participated in the "Universidad" sports competitions held regularly among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, both boys and girls from the sports of handball and rugby. teams won the honorable 1st place and deservedly defended the honor of our university.
