         DEPARTMENT OF FOOTBALL THEORY AND METHODOLOGY    

In 1966, the Department of Football Theory and Methodology was established for the first time at the Uzbek State Institute of Physical Culture. History of the department "The Theory and Methodology of football" The department was founded in 1966, before which the specialty of football was part of the department of "Sports Games". Candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor G.M. Sergeev took an active part in the organization of the department and he was the first head of the department from 1966 till 1979. From 1979 to 1987 the department was headed by the candidate of pedagogical sciences, professor R.A. Akramov. From 1987 to 2018, the department was headed by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor R.I. Nurimov.

In 2018-2019, the department was headed by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Sh.U. Abidov. From the 2019-2020 academic year, the department was again headed by Professor R.I. Nurimov, From the 2020-2024 academic year, the department will be filled by the candidate of pedagogical sciences, professor Sh. Headed by  Sh.U. Abidov, since March 2024, the department has been headed by Associate Professor Pulatov Sirojiddin Nuritdinovich. from the members of the department were prepared doctors and candidates of sciences, professors and associate professors: Koshbakhtiev I.A, Akramov, R.A. Sergeev G.M, Nurimov R.I, Iseev SH.T., Talipdjanov A.I, Sadikov O.B, Kurbanov O.A, Ataev O., Abidov SH .U., Yusupov N.M, Davletmurodov S.R, Artikov A.A, Mahamadjanov F.R. Today, a number of members of the department, in particular, O. Bekturov, A. Shermuhamedov, M. Yuldashev, I. Maksumov, M. Muhammadov, O. Pirmatov, O. Igamberdiyev, R. Melziddinov PhD and A. Artikov Docotr science are working hard on their dissertations. R.A Akramov, A.I.Talipdjanov, Sh.Toshmatova, R.Melziddinov, O.Dachev, R.Kuryazov, R.Khamdamov, V.Maiseyeva were awarded the title of "Honored Coach of Uzbekistan".

To date, a number of textbooks, manuals, monographs, methodological manuals have been developed and published by professors and teachers in Uzbek and Russian languages. Scientific articles and theses are regularly published in national and foreign journals. The department of "Football Theory and Methodology" regularly provides scientific and methodological assistance to the national football teams of Uzbekistan, super and first league teams, as well as children's and youth teams.  Among the students studying at the department in the composition of various national teams of Uzbekistan in 1994 were Y.Sheykin, F.Davletov, A.Fedorov, F.Magometov, U.Ruzimov, A.Tikhonov, M.Kasimov, I.Sharipov, S.Lebedev, A.Ma`rufaliev, A.Durmonov, R.Durmonov, S.Atoyan, I.Shkvirin, A.Abduraimov, Sh.Maksudov and the champions of the Asian Games in 2018 B.Ergashev, R.Davronov, D.Tursunov, I.Kobilov, A.Otaxonov, H.Alijonov, R.Ashurmatov, A.Komilov, O.Xamrobekov, J.Sidikov, J.YAxshiboev, D.Narzullaev, D.Masharipov, A.Turgunboev, X.Giyosov, I.Aliboev, D.Khamdamov, Z.Urinbaev, B.Abdukholikov, A.Sidorov

Our U-23 team took part in the 2024 "Asian Cup" held on the green fields of Qatar and got a ticket to the "Paris 2024" Olympics. The main part of this team includes students of the Department of Football Theory and Methodology. For example, from our students  Abbasbek Faizullayev, Alisher Odilov, Otabek Zhorakoziyev, Muhammadkadir Hamraliyev, Ibrahimkhalil Yuldoshev, Ibrahim Ibrahimov, Diyar Holmatov, Vladimir Nazarov, Hamidillo Abdunabiyev,  Husain Norchayev, Hojimat Erkinov
