THEORY AND METHODOLOGY OF WINTER AND COMPLEX TECHNICAL SPORTS

INFORMATION ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT'S ACTIVITIES

The departments "Theory and Methodology of winter sports" and "Theory and methodology of complex technical sports" of the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports on the basis of the minutes of meeting No. 2 dated August 1, 2024 of the Supervisory Board for improving human resources and developing scientific activities in the field of physical culture and sports, as well as by order of the Rector No. 292-I/CH dated July 22, 2024, the departments were united and the department "Theory and Methodology of winter and complex technical sports" was created. The head of the department was appointed Doctor of Philosophy in Pedagogical Sciences (PhD), Associate Professor S.Davletmuratov.

The Department of Theory and Methodology of Winter and Complex Technical Sports has established training of specialists in 8 areas of sports activity (hockey, alpine skiing, cycling, figure skating, triathlon, biathlon, archery and snowboarding).

Since the 2024/2025 academic year, 25.25 staff units have been identified at the department and 25 teaching professors have started working. Of these, 4 teachers are masters of sports in sports, 7 are judges of the national category of the Republic of Uzbekistan and one teacher is a participant in the Paralympic Games (Paris 2024).

Teachers S.Nurmamatova and A.Karimov are the right holders of the patent for the "SOLOUR CIRCLE" program. It determines the level of development of the vestibular apparatus for those engaged in all sports before the "Training Stage." At the moment, 600 students study at the department. Of these, 4 are masters of sports of the international category, 10 are masters of sports and 65 are candidates for masters of sports.

At the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports, students actively participate in international and national competitions. All conditions are being created so that our athletes can demonstrate the honor of our country on international arenas. It is worth noting that the higher education institution consistently implements the state youth policy. "Reading books", "Information Technology" and all sports clubs organized with the support of our President within the framework of five important initiatives of the President are aimed at improving the level of knowledge and general outlook of students, serving to organize meaningful leisure and promote a healthy lifestyle among them.

The academic mobile exchange at the department is held with such universities as Belarusian State University of Physical Culture, P. F. Lesgaft National State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Health and Belarusian National Technical University. Each academic year, the department holds 1 international and 1 republican scientific conference.

Within the framework of dual education, the department cooperates with the Republican School of Higher Sports Mastery for Winter and Complex-Technical Sports and the Republican School-Internat of Cycling Mastery. Cooperation with the Uzbekistan Hockey Federation and the Chirchik Olympic and Paralympic Sports Training Center is also planned.

The achievements of the department can also be attributed to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 27, 2022 No. 525 "On measures to further improve the equipping of scientific laboratories with modern equipment" approved the independent purchase of necessary equipment for the amount of 301,350.29 thousand US dollars.
