THE HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

Consistent measures are being taken in our country to promote a healthy lifestyle among the population, especially among young people, to create the necessary conditions and infrastructure for them to practice winter and complex technical sports, and to ensure the proper participation of the country's athletes. athletes in international sports arenas. In particular, in accordance with the decision of the Council of the State University of Physical Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan No. 12 dated July 7, 2021, a new organizational structure of the university was approved. According to him, the number of faculties has reached 9, and the number of specialized departments – 19. In particular, the Department of Theory and Methodology of Complex Technical Sports is one of the newly created departments of winter and complex technical sports. The Department of Theory and Methodology of Complex technical Sports has established training of specialists in 4 areas of sports activity (cycling, triathlon, biathlon and equestrian sports). Since the 2021/2022 academic year, 20 teaching professors have started working at the department. 2 professors-teachers of the department are sports teachers who have served in the Republic of Uzbekistan, 9 of them are judges of the national category. At the moment, 423 students are studying at the department. They train 4 masters of sports of international class, 10 masters of sports and about 100 candidates for masters of sports.Classes began at the Department of Theory and Methodology of Complex technical sports, and a master class was held yesterday. It was also attended by students of secondary school No. 13 in Chirchik. This master class left a warm impression on the students. The "Open dialogue with the dean" was organized with the participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Winter and Complex Technical Sports S.R. Davletmuratov and students of the faculty.

In the Republic of Uzbekistan, executive and legislative authorities at all levels have paid special attention to the improvement and development of regulatory support for the development of archery. So, on June 17, 2021, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree "On measures for the further development and popularization of archery." Starting from the 2022-2023 academic year, the State University of Physical Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan has opened the specialty "Archery", which will train six masters of sports and six candidates for masters of sports. Before the beginning of the 2023-2024 academic year, the equestrian sports course was transferred to the Department of Weightlifting, and the biathlon course was transferred to the Department of Athletics in order to continue its activities in the new academic year. The Department of Cycling, triathlon, and Archery has started its activities. By joining it to the newly created Faculty of Paralympic and Winter Sports.

It should be said that by the decision of the rector of the university, in order for teachers and heads of departments to be more free and independent, all deans at the university have completed their work since February 1, 2024, and currently the departments are free and independent, working under the direct supervision of the vice-rector for educational work. At the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports, students actively participate in international and national competitions. All conditions are being created so that our athletes can demonstrate the honor of our country on international arenas. It is worth noting that the higher education institution consistently implements the state youth policy. "Reading books", "Information Technology" and all sports clubs organized with the support of our President within the framework of five important initiatives of the President are aimed at improving the level of knowledge and general outlook of students, meaningful organization of free time. and, among them, a healthy lifestyle promotes a healthy lifestyle.
