Today a delegation headed by the President of the National Sports University of Korea visited the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports.
The main purpose of the visit is to ensure the implementation of the priority tasks outlined in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M.Mirziyoyev dated November 8, 2019 "On approval of the Concept of development of higher education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030" and the Decree of November 3, 2022 "On measures to further improve the training and research in physical culture and sports".
Initially, the meeting between representatives of the delegation headed by the president of the National Sports University of Korea and the management of the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports was organized.
It was attended by President of the National Sports University of Korea Yongkyu Ahn and his wife Kim Mira, dean of the university Hil Eun Bae, Rector of the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports, Professor Makhmudjon Boltaboev, Professor Baek Moon Jong, vice-rectors, deans, heads of departments, Olympic champions Ruslan Nuridinov and Akbar Juraev.
During the meeting the parties discussed the issues on integration of science and practice in the sphere of physical culture and sport, development of international cooperation, further organization of training on the scientific basis and professional development of coaches as well as exchange of students and staff. In turn, representatives of both sides received comprehensive answers to their questions.
After that, a memorandum on cooperation between Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sport and National Sports University of Korea was signed.
At the end of the visit, guests of honor led by the administration of the university familiarized themselves with sports facilities at the university, the conditions created for the faculty and students.
The delegation led by the President of the National Sports University of Korea is expected to visit Samarkand sights.
